I just can not tell you how much I love to bullet journal. I look forward to the next month so I can doodle and draw on this beautiful dotted paper. The Northwood Dotted Journal is my favorite. It fits nicely in my leather cover. Just click on the highlighted journal to look at it. Using the bullet journal can improve your routine.
How the Bullet Journal Improves Your Routine
Each month I sit down and write out the days of the week. I then look through countless calendars and pick an illustration I like. I am not creative enough to design my own yet. Then I draw it out and color it.
I have always liked to doodle and this is the therapeutic part of bullet journaling to me. I like pens and pencils. This era where everything is computerized it stressful for me. When I sit down and write important dates down it improves the chances of me remembering those dates.
Then I look at it EVERY Sunday evening or Monday morning and get ready for the week. I bought fine point pens and some not so fine point pens. I use both to create my monthly picture. I feel like it helps me to be much more organized and also process all the things I have to do each week. Even though my children are grown and gone I still have a full plate.
The Most Important Part of Bullet Journaling
You must take it with you everywhere. I actually keep mine in my pocket book. I think that is part of the success. I used to use a 3 ring binder. This was alright when I homeschooled, but it is not okay for my everyday events in life. I needed it to be more mobile and flexible. I think that is what I love so much about it. I also like looking back at my bullet journal and seeing what the year looked like.
If you do not want to invest in all of that and just want to try it, order one and use colored pencils, or crayons. Everyone has a box of crayons in their house. I promise you, it can make life a little less hectic and you will feel more in control of your time and day.
Use your bullet journal,
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
It will improve your daily routine, I promise. Honestly, Janet
