Home decor style is talked about a lot. There are even test online to determine your home decor style.  Sometimes I want to ask myself, “Home decor style, do you have one?”  Maybe I do, maybe I don’t, but it is very hard for me to determine the one I have.  Every time I take a quiz to determine my style the answer is something different. Crazy, right  I mean, one time I am Traditional Modern, Rustic with a Touch Of Farmhouse, and the last one, Traditional.  What, yeah just plain crazy.  So I do not believe I fit into just one decor style.

Home Decor Style, Do You Have One

I mentioned that I took a lot of decor style quizes didn’t I? The last one I took said, Modern. It is really crazy insane that I have so many styles, but I liked something in ALL the choices offered. Looking at all the different styles just made me deliberate over every single picture longer.  I finally decided that I had to just pick one. My personal style is very hard to determine with these test, but I so have one because I am pretty consistent with it.   I am not sure I can tell you what it is but my style shows up in a lot of different ways. For instance, I love blue and white.  I am drawn to it over and over again.

Blue and White

There are some things I absolutely love,the combination of  blue and white is one of them. If I see it in a lamp, curtains or bedding I am pulled into it. I try not to look at lamps.  They are my downfall. Blue and white lamps are  my biggest downfall and they look good in any decor setting.  I also like blue and white in bedding, but I do not want to get stuck in just blue and white decor. So let’s talk about some of the home decor style quizs you can do online to try and figure your own personal style out.

1. Apartment Therapy

The website apartment therapy knows a thing or two about personal home decor style.  This quiz gives you some pictures to use as a tool but it also ask questions about your DREAM couch or house. I guess the reason I like this one so much is because it address what the ideal style for you maybe. My house is certainly not ‘Warm Industrial’ as it said, but I am drawn to that look. Maybe in a dream I see myself living in a warm industrial style home.

2. Laurel & Wolf

I honestly do not know how accurate any of them are.  I took this one twice and came up with TOTALLY different home decor styles.  None of the choices are going to fit your taste 100%. When you look at these pictures just pick the one that really strikes a chord with you. This quiz divides your style up giving percentages.

3. Lonny

I have followed Lonny.com for sometime. The website has amazing pictures to ooh and aah over. After taking all the other quizs Lonny says I am a Neo-Traditionalist, whatever that is. Reading the definition made me feel like Lonny understands me. I think the questions in this quiz are really good and help to narrow your style down a bit. The wording in the questions is focused and good.

4. Baiyina

This quiz is kind of amazing. Baiyina not only helps you determine your style but she also gives you Pinterest boards to go to for ideas. The video is very sweet and resources are listed also.  The boards give you a real idea of your style and the details that can go in it.

5. Bed Bath And Beyond

I guess the Bed Bath And Beyond company has something to say about your style as well.  The interesting thing about this quiz is the questions are not all about rooms or decor.  They throw a cake in there to help you figure out your home decor style. I think after taking 5 of these test I am starting to hone in on my style. This one said Transitional.  The others have been in similar veins.

6. Better Homes and Gardens

You know Better Homes and Gardens wants to weigh in on your decision about home decor. I will have to say, this quiz was not very thorough or illuminating.  They also do not give you the results until you fill out the email address with password.  Too much trouble to me.

7. HGTV

The HGTV quiz is worthy of mentioning. It is brief and to the point. It does not take very long and it seemed to be close to the others. The designs that are offered here for choices are just not that good. I had a difficult time picking one I really thought was me.

Anyway you look at the quiz choices mentioned above, they are just for fun.  If you are having a hard time deciding on your own home decor the surveys will at least help you to know a little bit more of your style.

Me, I probably will never be able to give up my love of blue and white.  I think blue and white is just
