Happy New Year

I can’t believe that I am sitting here writing about the new year. It has gone so fast. I read a quote the other day that I love.

“You never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”

― Dr. Seuss

So true isn’t it? Last year I was preparing for a wedding this time of year. It was crazy. I was worrying about flowers, food and the weather. The country club that I booked delivered us a message that they were closing their kitchen and I would have to find another caterer. They also said there would be no heat or air. We live in South Carolina!!! The weather in January is totally unpredictable. Regardless of the weather I had to find a new caterer for a wedding 20 days away.

All the things that happened during that time are just a wonderful memory. Her wedding was beautiful and the venue was also beautiful in spite of the difficulties we faced. I say all that to just remind you that what is difficult now may not seem so later. Enjoy some of the moments and look back on the memories with a new perspective. Happy New Year.
